Enfield Peanut Festival
The 2011 Enfield Peanut Festival will be held on Friday September 30th from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 1st from NOON until 9 pm. On Friday, the festivities will begin with a Pig Cook-Off competition and plate sale at 4:00 p.m. There will be entertainment for the kids and a car show. There will also be street dancing beginning at 6 pm to the music of The Tams!

On Saturday, festivities will include lots of food, arts and crafts, entertainment for the kids, car show, the Southeast Halifax High School Band, Ordered by God & St. Paul Male Chorus, Charlie Hill Jazz Band and Danny Woods and the Board of Directors, various local gospel groups and the fabulous Heartbeat Band!

Support the Enfield Community Park
During the 2008 Town Board Retreat the focus was on how could we get kids off the streets and help reduce crime in the Enfield area and provide recreation activities for all groups, including senior citizens. The town board voted to hire a full-time Parks & Recreation Director, purchase the old fair-ground land on HWY 301 to be developed into the Enfield Community Park. Water Shortage Response Plan
The Town of Enfield has developed a Water Shortage Response Plan for your review and comments. Comments may be emailed to bdavis@enfieldnc.org.




Town of Enfield Board Meetings
Work Sessions are held every third Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Public Meetings are held immediately after the Work Session. Meetings will be held at the Municipal Building, located at 200 Whitfield Street. For more information contact the Town Clerk at (252) 445-3146 ext. 22.




Enfield Planning & Zoning Board
Regular meetings will be held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Municipal building. The board of Adjustments will meet the same night at 8:00 pm or as soon as the planning/zoning board meeting adjourns.

The Town of Enfield Supports Fair Housing. The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status and disability.
